
This week, I am featuring Brittyn Howard, The Autism Dietitian talking about how important nutrition is for children with ASD or Autism Spectrum Disorder. We go over how much changes for these children and how improving nutrition can improve all kinds of things related to the condition.
Brittyn Howard, MS, RDN/LD is a dietitian specializing in children diagnosed with autism, ADD/ADHD, or other developmental disabilities. She has been involved in autism spectrum disorders for a majority of her life, as her younger brother was diagnosed on the spectrum when he was 2 years old. She completed her Master’s thesis on ‘Food Aversions and Nutrient Intake in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders’ at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She currently runs her own private practice, Autism Dietitian, offering in-person and video consults to parents and children seeking nutritional guidance to help with autistic symptoms and increase quality of life.
